Elections Results
We must admit, we underestimated the degree to which Republicans would lose.  Not that it matters much.  The ones in office did little to eliminate government waste, reduce taxes, seal our borders, reform immigration, or make English our official language.  It's been a sad time for conservatives for a while...

Simple Truths
1.  some say that Israel lost the war in Lebanon and that we are losing the war in Iraq.  But the truth is that we simply refuse to do to our enemies what they all too willingly do to us, kill large numbers of innocent civilians as a war tactic.  To beat this evil enemy will require a degree of ruthlessness that we haven't used since World War II.  As long as the enemy hides behind civilians, it leaves us little choice. 

2.  Iraq - Shiites and Sunnis are willing to blow themselves up and kill each other without end, and somehow this is supposed to reflect on us?  WE are losing the war?  Americans are the problem?  Give us a break!

3.  Simplest truth: If the terrorists put down their weapons, there will be peace in the world.  If we put down our weapons, we'll be dead.  It's not Americans who are blowing up innocent civilians all over the world.  It's Americans who are trying to stop it from happening.  Brave Americans to whom we are all indebted a huge debt.

A Little PR Please!
When the left-wing media predictably rushed to judge our Marines guilty of killing innocent civilians, our president should have forcefully explained (especially to Iraqis) that this is precisely why we fought to liberate them.  In the past, and in every other Arab country, thousands of innocent people disappear, to be found only when unearthing mass graves.  Now, thanks to brave American and British soldiers, there will be an inquiry because we value life.  For the first time in their history, Iraqis can expect justice to be served.

When will they ever learn...
Whenever conservatives attempt to appease the media, they lose big time.  Republicans are turning away from their core constituents and getting their butts kicked.  If we had a Reagan-like candidate to make the case for English first, secure borders, an end to illegal immigration and a drastic cut in government waste, he would win easily.  Shame on the Republican leadership for letting us down.
